[It starts out as just another trip to the item store to pick up a few necessities and see if he can find anything to use in order to build another music box, as he's been feeling a bit restless lately. Perhaps something he can take apart to use for parts, like a watch or a small clock...
He certainly isn't looking for strange furry things that talk at him as he walks by.
... at least, he THINKS it talked at him, even if it didn't sound like any language he's ever heard before. Either way, it deserves investigating, so he'll pick it up and poke at it a bit to see if he can figure out just what it is and how it works. Some sort of odd clockwork toy, he supposes, though it is endearing in a strange way.
The original plan was to bring it home with him to use for parts, but by the time he gets to school for classes, he's gotten rather attached to the strange (and talkative) thing. There's just one little problem, and that's the fact that he can't seem to figure out how to get it to STOP talking.
So for the entirety of music class (and for anyone who happens to stop by the classroom at any point during the day), the room will be serenaded by a Furby who seems to be enjoying the music the students are playing a little too much...]
